Overview

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the sites business goals and objectives.

Schedule Availability:

  • Monday-Friday; 6:00am-2:30pm
  • Sunday-Friday, 10:00pm-6:30am

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain and repair plant manufacturing equipment using mechanical and electrical knowledge
  • Troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems and mechanical equipment by using blueprints, schematics, multi-meter, and other specialty tools
  • Formulate and implement repairs using sound judgment and best known practices
  • Document preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and other recordkeeping utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Database System
  • Upkeep of plant infrastructure and subsystems including bulk gas and compressed air distribution systems
  • Develop and implement improvement ideas

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree in related field is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of related maintenance experience or demonstrated abilities in mechanical/electric/hydraulic systems, including troubleshooting and repair

 

SKILLS

  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
  • Possess a demonstrated value for safety
  • Electrical knowledge of AC and DC circuits, frequency drives, soft starts, motor starters, PC’s, and PLC
  • Mechanical knowledge of welders, pneumatics, hydraulics, vertical saws, plasma cutters, lasers, press brakes, formers, folders, and cranes
  • Possess strong decision-making skills as well as the ability to see a project through from start to finish
  • Willingness to work off shifts and be part of a small group that handles breakdown call-in repairs and periodic weekend work as business needs surface
  • Ability to communicate technical information in both verbal and written formats
  • Computer skills to include MS Office programs
