  • Overview

    As our Brand Ambassador Co-Op, you will work closely with leadership to execute a brand strategy that drives community awareness and engagement with Systems Control’s value proposition specifically around employment culture. Branding strategies will have a strong focus on the organization’s ongoing employment opportunities and culture of growth.

    Responsibilities

    • Understand the value proposition of being an employee at Systems Control and market it to potential employees throughout the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and beyond
    • Work closely with regional schools (K-12 & higher education) to market job opportunities and fields of employment at Systems Control. Develop strong, productive relationships with appropriate stakeholders that help to create a pipeline of new talent
    • Assist with the organization’s social media presence for recruiting-focused initiatives.  Help administer related accounts and ensure that all events, activities and newsworthy information are marketed to achieve high impact brand awareness
    • Identify opportunities for sponsorship that help to create positive brand awareness and positioning and recommend the highest impact opportunities to the Director of Human Resources
    • Attend community events sponsored by regional affiliates that will best market our brand to potential talent and serve as an Ambassador for Systems Control. Events may include but are not limited to community events, Economic Development Alliances, school districts, colleges and universities

    Qualifications

     

    • Minimum of sophomore standing in pursuit of Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
    • Must have had at least two (2) marketing, branding and/or social media related secondary level classes
    • Demonstrated knowledge of social media outlets and the ability to target the right outlet based on the marketing and/or branding opportunity
    • Competency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) 
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build a positive rapport with others
    • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
    • Demonstrates a creative and innovative approach to solving problems
