    Are you an experienced Designer who manages the CAD environment for your division or company?  Are you looking for an opportunity to lead the CAD systems within a growing company and industry?   

    Responsibilities

    • Organize, evaluate and assist Group Leads with resource management of multiple CAD Designers/Drafters
    • Balance resource workload considering urgent compliance requirements, customer deliverables and manufacturing schedule
    • Develop and manage CAD hardware and software licensing with IT, including training staff in the efficient use of CAD
    • Identify and implement cost saving Design initiatives for CAD systems
    • Collaborate with designers/drafters, design engineers, and information technology to promote integration, facilitate communications and resolve critical issues
    • Work closely with Product Design for rollout of Design standards and technical support
    • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to make CAD production processes more efficient
    • Emphasize continuous quality improvement; monitor drawing and filing standards and implement quality control programs
    • Organize and lead drawing check audit meetings for EE and Panel work
    • Establish performance goals that support division objectives, clarify the standard work to achieve goals and maintain visual management system in accordance with the lean process
    • Provide leadership to the CNC Programmers

    Qualifications

    • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management or related field
    • Leading initiatives and developing standards required, preferably in a manufacturing environment
    • Proven skills in leading teams and process improvements
    • Ability to set expectations/goals and ensure follow-through
    • Knowledgeable in Creo (or similar), Intralink, and associated server/file management systems
    • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
    • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
    • Demonstrated exceptional leadership capabilities & strategy deployment
    • Understanding and ability to use CAD Programs is preferred
