    As a member of Systems Control’s Engineering Services in Pewaukee, Wisconsin or Iron Mountain, Michigan, you will become a valued member of a team of professionals who provide engineering design solutions that transform the electrical industry.

    Responsibilities

    • Ability to interpret customer specifications and provide a design which meets all requirements
    • Understand the theories and fundamentals of electrical circuits and related components
    • Check/yellow line protection and control wiring diagrams to schematic diagrams
    • Create wiring diagrams for both protection and control panels and EE Integration from schematic diagrams
    • Create project specific protection and control schematic diagrams from standard customer schematics
    • Create protection and control schematic diagrams from a 1-Line diagram
    • Update/revise existing customer substation legacy schematic and wiring diagrams
    • Recognize a need for, and champion process improvements
    • Customer visits (travel approximately 10% of the time)

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Associates Degree with equivalent experience
    • P.E. license or ability to obtain a P.E. license
    • Minimum one year of Transmission and Distribution Protection and Control related experience
    • Knowledge and understanding of the specifications, structure, programming and configuration of the following control devices is also beneficial:
      • Microprocessor Based Protection and Control Relays
      • RS-232/RS485/Fiber optic/Ethernet Communication
      • IEC-61850 and DNP protocols
      • RTU Equipment
      • HMI
      • SCADA Systems
      • Distributive Control
    • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Working knowledge of transmission and distribution protection and control schematic and wiring diagrams
    • Proven analytical & problem solving skills
